A new damselfly species

A new damselfly species (the 24th) has arrive in the Wyre Forest area. The Small Red-eyed Damselfly has been in Worcestershire since 2006 (this species was new to the UK in 1999) but had halted its spread north and west in recent years. However it appears to jumped in to Herefordshire and Shropshire now. Fortunately some have stopped off in the Wyre Forest near Buttonbridge at Wellfield Fishery.
